A small Transport Team (of which Scott was one) accompanied the SRC components from the UTTR to JSC in Houston. We traveled in a C-130 Hercules, courtesy of the Wyoming National Guard. (Scott has a soft spot for C-130s, having flown in them quite a bit in Antarctica). We landed in a heavy crosswind at Ellington Airforce Base and unloaded the SRC components, including the sample canister, into a waiting truck. Note the convoy of security vehicles waiting for us as well.

After everything was loaded, we got a police escort from Ellington to JSC. The police ran their lights and sirens the whole way and we went the whole distance without stopping for traffic lights. Once at JSC, the truck was unloaded and the sample canister moved to the Space Exposed Hardware Cleanroom. Here the canister was removed from its transport container and wrapped for transport up to the Stardust Cleanroom.
